Breeder however we limit our number of dogs , and our number of litters . We prefer quality and quantity, our matings are carefully considered . Only 1 or 2 litters per year.
For us the Whippet is a passion first !
Our dogs are our companions everyday before breeding or show dogs . Thus, we limit the number of dogs at home and that of our litters to devote their full attention , to think seriously about our marriages , and spend as much time in the socialization of our babies when we have it. We do not depend financially from our companions and our puppies , we work alongside .
Des Plaines des Bruyeres's kennel was born in the 90s at the time, given by my parents, it saw born Italian Greyhounds and Whippets.
In 2009 i took the torch, by taking the way to dogshows, initially with Ch.Erius - Eden von Hoehenzoller, whippet arrived at home in December 2009 who became multichampion at just 3 years (French Champion, International Champion, Luxembourg Champion)
My whippets live at home in the countryside, with a garden of 2500 m2, they take advantage of the summer sun and long naps near the fireplace in the living room in winter ! Puppies born and grow up at home, socialized from an early age to everyday noises (TV, vacuum cleaners, visits, cat and other dogs). They also have an outdoor big park with a large wooden doghouse, in case of heat and a lot of toys) , they are socialized to outdoor's noises
My Whippets are regularly present in dogshows in France, but also throughout Europe and regularly obtain excellent results, they run very well too on the Lure Coursing ground, and we respect the beauty side, but also the work side whippet remains a dog must be beautiful (dogshows) and good (Lure coursing)
